The Peloponnese peninsula is linked to mainland Greece by bridges on  Corinth Canal and one bridge between Rio and Antirio.

The Argolis is an agricultural region, where, thanks to its wide valley, growing under the sun, fruit trees, tobacco's plantation  and  crops maréchères.
Many accommodation are offered in cities and villages of this region.

Arise in Nafplio, Tolo or Drepano  is to be closer to the most beautiful ancient sites (Epidaurus, Mycenae, Corinth, Mistra, Delphi and Athens), is to be a few miles from the islands of the Saronic Gulf (Poros, Hydra, Spetses). The nature of this region (seaside natural, clear water, sandy beaches, hills of the garrigue, fields of citrus and olive trees, mountains) is yours, but you're also near incontournables places of our civilization: post, stores, pharmacies, banks, hospitals...
Nafplio

First capital of the country for the release of the Turkish occupation in 1828.
The old Venetian town houses, the new town with neo-classical architecture, the paths of the sea, the citadel Palamidi, Fort Bourdtzi, museums, craft shops, bars and taverns give this place a lot of charm. An atmosphere of "dolce vita" is here, the clock stops, the moment is beauty and serenity.
Each summer, 18 to 27 June in 2010, Nafplio organize a festival of classical music.

Tolo

A former fishing village, now resort.
Located in a cove, its sandy beach is one of the largest in Argolis.
Many water activities, sports or games are proposed.
In summer, this village is very lively, bars, nightclubs and taverns, souvenir shops can be entertainment.

Drepano

Small village whose inhabitants live mainly from agriculture (oranges, olives, vegetables and sheep farming).
Apart from a few taverns in the village, life is very quiet even in high season.
The natural beach sand and pebbles give the opportunity to  enjoy the benefits of the sea and sun in peace.

Hydra - Poros - Spetses

We arrive in the port of each island, but we must venture into the paths of the sea, in the hills to discover a monastery, a church or a quiet cove.
Hydra and Spetses are three hours by boat from Tolo where are departures.
Poros is at 5 min from Galatas, coastal village of Argolis,  crossing can be  made by Caicos or boat if cars.

Argos

Difficult to speak of Argolis without to speak of the oldest Greek city.
Because of his advanced age we will forgive the lack of charm, but still we wil visit  the citadel for the view over the whole region, and the excavations conducted by archaeologists who reappear in the middle of urban clutter, the history of antiquity.
Argos is 12 km from Nafplio.

On the island of Hydra, as cars are banned,
the only way of transportation has
four feet.
Provisions, furniture, luggage of tourists
(or tourists themselves), mules provide all transportation.

Between 2 "missions"
they rest
in the meadows
of the island
and enjoy their well deserved peck.

of Hydra,
